SUMMER THEATER CAMP 1
SKILL DEVELOPMENT
ages 8-15
July 22-26, MON to FRI, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
15 hours of instruction
$220
Topics covered:
Acting & reacting, becoming a character, emotions, singing & harmonizing, dance & body control, confidence in improv, reacting as your character, fun with drama games
2 WORKSHOPS with NEAL:
INTRO to HARMONY SEMINAR
Saturday June 22, 10:00 - 11:30 am

Harmony is how chords move from one chord to another. Learn about the chord patterns used in Blues, Jazz and Contemporary music.
SONGWRITING SEMINAR
Saturday June 29, 10:00 - 11:30 am
$15 our students
$25 community members
Learn the building blocks of song structure and a how-to approach to good song writing.
Seminar/presentation first, then come ready to work on your own song with teacher assistance.
A great intro course for students, so that we all use standard terminology, and can communicate our musical ideas when we play together in settings like Rock Band Class.

SUMMER THEATER CAMP 2
ONE ACT PLAY
ages 9-15
August 12-16, MON to FRI, 12:00-4:00 pm
20 hours of instruction
$275
Pre-requisite required for this class: previous participation in one of Miss Emily's previous Summer or Fall/Winter classes, or optional audition.
CAMPFIRE GUITAR/UKE for ADULTS
For beginners
$15 each class
Sundays and Wednesdays 7:30 pm-8:30 pm
Drop-In classes with cumulative material over the summer
Starts with 2-chord songs, then 3 chord songs,
and then 4 chord songs
Strum and sing along
Start off the summer meeting in the Leduc School of Music and Art, and by end of summer, we will meet outdoors in local parks.
A great way to build confidence and build community!
RYTHM BLAST!!
DRUMMING CIRCLE for ALL AGES
ages 9- Adult
Wednesdays 5:00 to 6:00 pm
Session 1: July 10, 17, 24, 31
Session 2: August 7, 14, 24, 31
Each 4-week session: $75
Be in a percussion band! Explore authentic rhythms and grooves. Play along to Pop, R&B, and old time Rock 'n Roll.
SUMMER ROCK BAND
minimum: one year of lesson experience
1 hour rehearsals, twice per week
12 hours of instruction $250
6 weeks in summer, dates being selected

While we are recruiting from among our own students, outside community members are welcome as well.
Topics covered: rehearsing classic band repertoire and work on songwriting our own material.
